Re: Community

Hi Lindy!
This community is an absolute gold-mine of supportive, friendly people who give such kindness and always willing to share their advice and experiences.

I have learnt so much about myself since reading Kathleen's books ( in fact I'm re-reading 'little sugar addicts' now just for fun! hehe ) And I think it makes sense to do this step by step rather than a cold turkey approach because, thinking of it, many people who need to detox from say a drug addiction, if they did it all cold turkey it might actually harm them! So I think same for us. It may not be AS harmful if we gave up sugar all in one go, but I think with the steps we learn so many other useful things.

I'm also not able to tolerate lactose / dairy, but I find other protein sources are superior anyhow for satiety.

: I am new to RR and the community
: posts are very helpful. Of course
: when I began I wanted everything
: all at once but have begun again
: with Step One and being
: compassionate with myself. I am
: trusting that "doing the
: food" will eventually heal my
: body chemistry although a part of
: me has difficulty believing it!
: I have a dairy/whey sensitivity ( not
: allergy ) which takes away some of
: my protein options but I still
: find plenty of options for
: breakfasts. :h2)
