I have been happily eating a cup of browns plus 25g protein at each meal for the last few months (plus veggies, and protein/carb snack in the afternoon and now, potato at bedtime). I really am feeling more stable and better overall.
I began to wonder if I really need this much food.
So I started cutting back on the protein a bit (3 eggs instead of 4 at breakfast, for example), and a little bit on the browns (1/2 to 3/4 cup instead of 1 cup). This doesn't reduce my protein to less than I am "supposed" to get, as I have also been eating up to a cup of cottage cheese in the afternoon, which certainly boosts my protein count! In fact, cutting back a little brings me to the amount of protein that is supposed to be ideal for my weight.
I am happy to see that I do not feel deprived, I still feel good throughout the day, and my hunger at mealtimes is healthy, not painful.
Maybe I will get to the amount of food that is perfect for my body.
And maybe my pudge will begin to budge?
I will be happy even if it doesn't, though!
