Re: Naturally Cutting Back
In Response To: Naturally Cutting Back ()

: I have been happily eating a cup of
: browns plus 25g protein at each
: meal for the last few months (plus
: veggies, and protein/carb snack in
: the afternoon and now, potato at
: bedtime). I really am feeling more
: stable and better overall.

: I began to wonder if I really need
: this much food.

: So I started cutting back on the
: protein a bit (3 eggs instead of 4
: at breakfast, for example), and a
: little bit on the browns (1/2 to
: 3/4 cup instead of 1 cup). This
: doesn't reduce my protein to less
: than I am "supposed" to
: get, as I have also been eating up
: to a cup of cottage cheese in the
: afternoon, which certainly boosts
: my protein count! In fact, cutting
: back a little brings me to the
: amount of protein that is supposed
: to be ideal for my weight.

: I am happy to see that I do not feel
: deprived, I still feel good
: throughout the day, and my hunger
: at mealtimes is healthy, not
: painful.

: Maybe I will get to the amount of
: food that is perfect for my body.

: And maybe my pudge will begin to
: budge? :h1)

: I will be happy even if it doesn't,
: though! :h11)

Hi Jan,

I am really, really happy you are feeling steady and encouraged.

But I am a little confused by the logic of *I am feeling so good, I think I will step doing what is. making me feel good.*

Any chance you might approach this a little differently? Maybe take the snack out...this would be part of step 3. We have found that cutting back on those browns is tricky. 1/2 a cup will put you into the danger zone. I think you are on the step 3 list. What about sharing there and asking for some feedback.

What do you think?
