Considering giving up gluten/dairy again?

I started the program about 4 months ago. I am now happily on Step 4.

I thought I was over my cold this week, but I am still dripping and coughing. Very annoying. I'm wondering if it's time to consider experimenting with giving up gluten and/or dairy to see if that helps.

I gave up gluten and dairy several years ago, and it really seemed to help with my lifelong post-nasal drip.

I gradually added these food groups back into my diet in small amounts, and that did not seem to be a problem.

Maybe I am eating too much whole wheat now? I got so excited about eating browns again (I used to do low-carb). Maybe I should stick with brown rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and oatmeal for a while? I hate to give up the wheat because of the convenience, but I also don't like this constant dripping. :-)

As for dairy: I use almond milk instead of dairy milk, so that is already okay. I would dislike giving up my convenient cottage cheese.

Does anyone have any thoughts?
