We used to go on picnics by the shore. I remember having deviled eggs, and my mother would make a salad of diced cooked beetroot with mayonnaise. We also had fluffernutter sandwiches (I think maybe that's just an american thing - it's peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. Actually, I just looked it up and it's apparently a New England favorite. I grew up in New England.)
