Hi Kathy,
I found that eating enough for breakfast with the right amount of protein
and browns as step one recommends balances my body so that
I don't have to count calories. Not eating enough for breakfast invariably
leads to overeating later in the day. My weight has been stable for many
years by following this plan and nothing else. It's a different mindset than
calorie counting.
I have a vegan protein shake every day for breakfast--rice protein powder,
unsweetened vanilla almond milk, banana, cooked steel cut oats, ice,
nut butter, sometimes frozen broccoli. It's filling and delicious and lasts
5-6 hours.
