I'm only on step one and having a bit of trouble with it myself, so take this with a grain of salt... but I would recommend that you first finish reading the book. Just read it cover to cover first. Let it sink in. Then go back to the section on step 1, start doing step one, and do the steps one at a time, rereading the appropriate chapters as you progress. And--I learned this the hard way--there are four parts to step one. Don't try to do them all at once. You won't know how your body is reacting to each part if you make too many changes at the same time. Choose one part and do it for a while before adding the next part.
: Welcome.
: There is plenty of help available
: every step of the way.The words
: "slowly and
: thoughtfully" best describe
: this journey to wellness.
: If I have to get up early I split my
: breakfast into major and minor ,
: starting with just a small part of
: it to tide me over until a later
: hour.
: I have always kept things simple and
: that includes a basic breakfast .
: One of my breakfast proteins is
: walnuts - a bit of a splurge
: because I don't have a walnut tree
:
: Eggs in any shape or form are another
: standard on the menu. Good old
: oatmeal suits me too and my latest
: addition is almond milk.
: Keep us posted on your progress when
: you get time. Oh for
: accountability I once resorted to
: little stars on my desk calendar
: when I ha all the parts of
: breakfast. That was awhile ago..It
: all comes easily to me now.
