We are having some excitement at our feeders because a type of jay that is normally in the mountains has come down to the valley. People are seeing them in many places they would not normally be. We have some that have been hanging out in our yard, and this morning I actually got a good look at them when two of them came down to our seed block. Often I just hear them or catch a brief glimpse of them, but this morning they were in the tree over our driveway, and I just stood there and watched. They are Steller's Jays.
