Hi Colleen,
Nice to have you hear. Step one is not designed to deal with weight loss
in any way. It starts a process of rewiring your brain on a very profound level.
The key will be to not freak out about weight while we are adding stuff in.
Most of us thought we were managing our weight b y skipping breakfast
Most of us had no idea what was going on with our biochemistry so the continual rounds
of dieting and gaining just messed it up more.
I have worked really hard to not have weight conversations be a part of step work
because I want to heal the obsession part of thinking that weight solves things.
But....we do talk about weight in YLD, LOL. It is kinda of funny to think you have to pay something
to talk about the least important part of what we are doing. It does make me laugh and actually was never my intention.
Joining YLD is a good plan because of the support it provides. And chats are so incredibly fun everyone loves them.
