Hi Rachel,
I have some thoughts I would like to share so will do that right in your note.
Well, I tried adding ground flax to
: the shake. That seems to help hold
: me. I may still have to up the
: oatmeal, or maybe double the
: amount of flax.
It sounds like you are sort of spinning. mabe trying to do too much too soon.
: Almonds and pumpkin seeds are the
: only thing that really work, so
: far, as an acceptable snack. And
: pumpkin seeds are a good source of
: tryptophan, so maybe that would
: help in the serotonin factory.
Nope, that is not how it works. You don't have to try to figure out either serotonin or
trytophan Just do the steps and they will do that for you.
: I have an problem that may have to do
: with sugar issues. I am having a
: problem with constipation. I
: assumed at first that it had to do
: with the amount of meat I was
: consuming in an effort to get the
: protein I need.
It could be. You can get some chia seeds and put those in your shake.
It will solve this problem. Start with a tsp and work up to a tablespoon over 2 weeks.
: I have been working on getting more
: leafy greens, vegetable, salad and
: of course, water.(At least in my
: mind). Only beginning to get what
: I need without making sure to keep
: strict track of my consumption of
: each. Seems I can't rely on
: instinct, or feelings of hunger or
: thirst, It seems I must rely on
: the clock and disciplined
: commitment, which apparently,I'm
: brand new at.
Yah, you are trying to do waaaaay too much too soon.
: Still the problem persists. My
: dilemma is beet juice seems to
: keep me regular, but it is high in
: carbs. Years ago, everyday I drank
: fresh juice made of carrots,
: beets, a combo of parsley, kale
: and sometimes beets greens and
: apple. I never had a problem with
: regularity. I have cut out the
: carrots, but still my system is
: tight.
Rachel, I am not sure what program you are doing. It sounds like you are
focused on *carbs* and eliminating them.
I have also (in recent
: weeks)periodically experienced
: bloating after a meal. I have had
: to use laxatives, but do not want
: to become dependent.However, this
: issue seems different than I have
: experienced before.I am going to
: go to the doctor to get things
: checked out.
We can help you sort it. I am pretty sure I know what is going on.
: In the meantime, in an effort to
: manage this issue, I have consumed
: more carbohydrates (the beet
: juice, inc. greens, decreased
: meat.). My food is WAY OFF,
: timing, everything. So much so
: that I have been having anxiety
: attacks and can't seem to calm
: down.
Yep, totally understand. Can you share what you are having for breakfast?
Would it be possible to go back to eating regular food and just focus on breakfast for now.
I am feeling very out of
: control. My thoughts are very
: paranoid, trusting myself and my
: decisions is non-existent and I
: know I am too isolated. Needless
: to say, I'm having trouble getting
: a grip.
: I feel so silly, childish and needy,
: like I should be able to get
: myself together.
It's biochemical and solvable. Have some real food. Eat some real carbs. Oatmeal or
some regular cereal. Report back on what you had for breakfast. We can guide you.
: I am so grateful for this community
: where i can get support.
Glad you are here.
Warmly,
Kathleen
: Thanks for your input and
: encouragement.
