hi Isabella
have to agree with everyone on the eggs and oatmeal options. At our house, we have some mugs that are just the right size for cooking oatmeal ( porridge!) in the micro. For some reason it is so much better in a mug Ane you can do the same with scrambled eggs...... its different in a micro but still nice
Another thing that has been most successful is sweet potato in the microwave. I find it cooks better in there....... in the oven it tends to too mushy and sweet but I can get the texture right in the micro. Mash it with butter and freeze in dollops on greaseproof paper and it can go straight from freezer to microwave and it makes a great brown accompaniment. Its so comforting in winter.
ordinary baked potato is also another good one, with whatever topping you would choose, how about cheese, cottage cheese, tuna mayo and sweetcorn, the usual things
speed is of the essence in the morning isn't it I did spend years having shake which I'd make the night before and just grab from the fridge- give a bit of a stir- and go
Nowadays I prefer non traditional breakfast foods, and I admit I do use the micro more as a re - heater than anything else, for things like chilli or chicken stew ( which you could save from the canteen?) or you could be wild and see if theres a micro cookery book in the library Ive never actually done that, but I shall have a look!
what sort of things appeal to you best?
