: Hey everyone!
: I was just wondering something. Let's
: say you normally wake up at 7:00
: and eat breakfast at 7:30. What do
: you do if you wake up at 5:00 for
: no good reason but would really
: like to still be sleeping until
: 7:00? Normally I would try to go
: back to sleep, but sometimes that
: just doesn't happen. So, does that
: mean I would need to eat breakfast
: by 6:00, or is it okay to stay in
: bed longer and wait until my usual
: breakfast time?
: Thanks!

Laura,
this is a very interesting question. The key is to reflect on what
is behind the recommendation rather than just how should you follow a rule.
Think about what time you last ate. So if you ate at 6 PM, by 6 AM the next morning,
it has been 12 hours. That is a long time. And when you start pushing the time, your sweet body is going into stress mode which causes a release of beta endorphin so then you feel lean and mean and beuatiful and virtuous.
If you are lying in bed dozing in and out, your body may stay in sleep mode. But if you are awake and turning on the motor, it is a good idea to have something to eat
Does this make sense?
