Hi Elizabeth. Welcome! I'm glad you are here. The program really works, and it can be life changing. It's not a splashy, quick fix kind of thing, though. If you can be patient and take things nice and slowly, I think you will be very happy with the results.

Step 1 is breakfast. It has 4 parts:
enough protein for your body
with a complex carb such as whole grain toast or cereal
within an hour of getting up
every day
and you can start off with whatever part of that is easiest.

There's great support for you here or on the step one list. I found that participating in the forum really helped me.
