Re: Extra breakfast?
In Response To: Extra breakfast? ()

Hi Carol
In that situation, I would definitely need to eat something when I got up. 3 hours is too long to go without breakfast, especially if I'm going to be driving and doing things. I would have a shake when I got up, and then eat the breakfast being served.

I recently had a situation a bit like this. I went on a quilting retreat. I don't sleep well on the retreat because we sleep 4 to a bedroom. We all take turns cooking, so I have no control over what is served for breakfast, and it tends to be a bit later than I am used to eating. So I take protein powder and almond milk and have a shake when I get up, and then sit around until breakfast is served. I would actually put more in my shake, except there is limited room in the fridge and I didn't have access to a blender. In your situation, I'd have my regular shake earlier, and then eat again at 8.
