Yesterday my (very old) iPod gave up. I'd always used it to listen to audiobooks while driving and it quit in the middle of a mystery novel. So I took it to the Apple store where the 'genius' got it to reboot, but basically said it's on it's last legs. And it quit again as soon as I tried to use it. So now all my books are loaded onto my iPhone and I get the adventure of learning how to listen to books that way when I drive.
Also yesterday, my husband's Wii (also very old) stopped reading the discs. So I dug up the instruction manual, went online to the website and discovered that they not only don't manufacture it anymore, but they don't even repair them. So I went searching for used but functional consoles and found a supposed-to-be-working replacement at Amazon.
All this got me to thinking about how I would have approached this before program - panic, anxiety, feeling like I did something wrong and am being punished. Now - I can look at the problem and simply go about getting it fixed! So much easier :h6) .
