Hi Sally,
How scary for you to go through that. You are in the right place to find healing. I remember feeling desperate and having a hard time focusing...doing the Radiant Recovery steps helps me so much!
One thing I'm continually learning by doing the food is that putting my focus on one thing at a time is better in the long run than multitasking. And that where I put my energy is what grows.
And on a purely practical level, if I put my focus and energy on one thing (breakfast) then I will master it and love it more quickly and move to the next step toward my goal than I would if I'm flittering around trying to do a little of this (step 2) and a little of that (step 3) and oh I can add a touch of something else (step 6) getting distracted from what I was trying to accomplish in the first place (step 1)
So yes, this is an example from my own experience doing the steps And I'm also reminding myself of this lesson for the present day
I'm so glad you are here in this place of recovery and glad to be sharing the journey And keep posting! Connecting makes all the difference in maintaining focus.
