Hi Brianne,
So to answer the first part of your question, some vegan proteins I eat
are protein powder (Nutribiotic unsweetened vanilla mostly, occasionally
pea protein powder), nuts, nut butters, tofu, veggie burgers, beans and peas.
That said, I'm not able to stay feeling my best being vegan. I regularly eat eggs (not
factory farmed), local beef and tuna fish, and this makes me feel really good physically and emotionally. I also feel grateful at every meal for the animals and plants that keep me alive.
I think it's really helpful that you notice and journal how you feel with different proteins. I think a lot of us sugar sensitive people find it hard to be vegans and still feel grounded and stable.
As far as feeling blocked up, could that also be a fiber and water issue?
