: Dear Donna, I have been there- and felt the same despair over not getting enough sleep. I tried the environmental changes (dark bedroom, keep pets out, quiet activity before bed), the meds, and saw a sleep therapist who had me track how much and how often I slept. All of it has been an education, and now I value sleep a lot. And have been sleeping through the night for at least six months, with an occasional early wake up here and there.
What helped me: environmental changes, better diet (RR of course!), exercise outdoors, and less stress in my life. Hope this helps!
