: Hey all
: I've just read SARP and loved it, and
: have been going on step one for
: about a week now, from advice from
: a friend who knows the programme.
: I'm a vegan, I've had a search
: through the forums and some of the
: advice doesn't seem to be that
: vegan-friendly, but from reading
: the book it seems that it can be
: adapted to anyone. So, I'd love to
: hear from any vegans (or any
: people who don't want to persuade
: me to eat meat/fish/dairy) who
: might have advice or support.
: I think part of the problem with my
: sugar cravings has been that
: generally I just haven't been
: getting enough protein in my diet.
: I am quite a healthy eater and I
: like cooking - my pattern is that
: I binge on chocolate and cakes
: outside of my meals, particularly
: when I'm out and about, and in the
: evenings. So I'm keen to see what
: the effects of more protein and Mr
: Spud are!
: Fortunately, we love tofu in this
: house, I could eat it most days :)
: I'd also like to give homemade seitan
: ago.
: Anyway, it's great to be here -
: feeling excited about getting
: going, but I'm taking things slowly
: and steady, as instructed :)
Hi Sarah,
Welcome. I am glad you found us.
Doing the program as a vegan is pretty straightforward. You just use the calculations and
work with them within the foods you eat. Start with step one. Just that one thing. Learn the four parts and
do them one at a time. You can join the vegetarian list for tips on what others are eating.
It doesn't have to be hard. And just for reference, the program is waaaay more than adding protein and a potato There are lots and lots of things embedded in the *process*.
How old are you? :). It is an important part of your equation.
