Vegan - Brand New

Hi. I read the book and new instantly that it was for me. I started strong and then stopped and I am not sure why. Anyway, after my old habits depleted me again - I picked the book back up and know I need the company of friends to succeed. I am finally ready to change, to listen, to blindly follow what has worked for so many and to put my ego away so I can heal. I will be 55 this year and giving up all these old habits is my gift to myself.

I am a vegan, gluten-free and no soy. Here are some things I am doing for meals - I use Vega protein smoothies for breakfast. I make a big pot of bean soup and eat that each day with salad or a stuffed potato, quinoa, etc. For dinner, I am experimenting with hummus, & falafel. I am also working on making a bar that I can travel without of oat, thawed frozen berries, chia, protein powder, vanilla, cinnamon, mashed banana, and coconut. My goal is to make each bar have 30g protein. Still a work in progress but getting closer.

Also the Banza chick pea pasta is a good addition for me.
