this suddenly came home to me yesterday when my daughter staggered through the door with a big easter egg she had been given at work
she was teasing me. She said, I'm just going to scrunch this up by my chair and leave it there for three months till you get cross and throw it out
You may have guessed she doesn't take after me in the sugar sensitive way Although brought up on a more or less step three, she isn't interested in sugar much
But it can be such a challenge at these festivals with traditional foods, can't it ? I don't get that pull and attraction any more although I do have a nostalgic memory now and then. I have my reliable strategies and food foundation on the go.
Ive just planned the weekend, We will all be together Good Friday so I have planned a Paella. That will be good for all and a sort of sharing dish so that'll be nice - I can pick the bits I like And I have just been to buy some strawberries and extra thick double cream for afters . I got the biggest punnet you can imagine!
Roast Lamb for Sunday dinner by tradition so I am looking forwards to that, and I think I shall include roasted peppers, brussels sprouts. I'm also going to have a go at Celeriac Puree That will be a new experience
I hope the weather will clear enough for a walk. We have tons of daffodils and crocuses out
the best advice I was given for times when there might be a family gathering or event was, Just do the step you are on. I find that such a relaxing phrase to consider.
