You truly write such wonderful posts. I smile all the way through them.

Not sure what a punnet is, will have to look that up. Maybe something large to hold a lot of berries? Roasted brussels sprouts are a family favorite, even for those who never liked them before. That's a great reminder for me to pick some up.

My husband and I are staying away from the family this weekend since we both have colds and don't want to share them. I think I'll get a special bag of peanuts for the blue jays for Easter (they probably wouldn't want the sprouts).

I always get an extra rush of gratefulness when I realize that I've forgotten that a holiday has sugar associations. At the last family birthday party someone brought a giant bowl of chocolate pudding, whipped cream, cake, cookies all mixed up together. That would have been the kind of thing I would have glommed down in the past. I just admired the creativity of it and took pleasure watching my non sugar-sensitive in-laws enjoying it.
