Well, Sandy, you certainly have been through quite an ordeal.
Amazing how the program *stays with us* even if we are not actively following it for a while,
and then we can come back and pick up where we left off
It's also great that there is this forum for connection and support
Welcome back and would love to hear how it's going

: I read Potatoes Not Prozac, well over
: a decade ago and realized Kathleen
: had the solution, I just had to
: follow the steps. For two years I
: followed the program to the zenith
: and the results were all that
: Kathleen promised.
: In 2007, my mother, my husband, and
: even the dog died.. It was a
: terrible year, compounded by an
: operation to remove a 30 pound,
: encapsulated cancer. If I had held
: tight and stayed with the program
: I'm sure the year would have been
: easier to cope with, but instead I
: picked up the cigarettes, hit the
: sugar, and did more that a little
: shopping. Exercise went by the way
: side and I was once more a fat
: emotional mess.
: It took me over a year to come back
: to the program, but I did come
: back to sanity.
: This year, my program is once more a
: mess. A little slip here and
: another there, has brought me to
: the doldrums and exercise is a
: walk for the dog, if the weather
: isn't too cold, if it isn't too
: windy, if there isn't much ice,
: and if I'm not napping.
: Today, I begin again. I had a good
: breakfast, 2 eggs, Ezekiel toast,
: and 2 strips of bacon. Not perfect
: yet. I should have had 3 eggs. I'm
: hoping that participating in the
: forum will be helpful.
: I'm smoking, my weight is up a few
: pounds and I'm in the mist of the
: 'Where is Spring Blues'. But I
: know all these things will ease
: after a few weeks of good eating
: and exercise,
: Thanks for listening.
