Oh Kirsty, you made me laugh writing "....You sound very calm and grounded and steady"
You see, as it turns out, there are many things embedded in getting back on track from my trip abroad
One of those, which I had not given given enough respect to, is jet lag.
Sleep zig-zags definitely affect my food choices, and my food choices totally affect everything
I do owe you a resounding *Thank You* - something in your seeing me as grounded and steady
shows me the gap between how I sound and how things really are
It's an important wake-up call (no pun intended )
Two weeks have passed since I've returned home, and I'm not as steady as I thought I'd be by now.
Listening to my body, though, it seems that it would like
* mild exercise,
* fresh vegetables throughout the day, and
* a steady-wake-up-hour-no-matter-what
to help wash away the jet-lag cobwebs from my eyes
So I will take those steps this coming week, and I'll report back on my progress.
Meanwhile, your plan to take it step by step this time round sounds like a great strategy
I love what you wrote: "I realize the elimination (of sugar) is just the other side of the binge."
What clever insight you have, Kirsty
Sarit
: Thank you Sarit for your message I
: appreciate it.
: My breakfasting seems to be going
: well.
: I have kind of been thrashing around
: pre-program for 6 months, doing
: breakfast right, journaling, three
: meals (with two timed snacks),
: potato before bed, all going well,
: even off sugar!!
: I think the problem was I rushed and
: did it all at once. So the sugar
: cravings came back. Then the
: bingeing. So now I haven't gone
: back to the strict elimination of
: sugar immediately.
: Instead I am trying something new as
: I realize the elimination is just
: the other side of the binge.
: I'm trying a different approach to
: try to break this cycle.
: I'm trying step one, and trusting the
: other steps will fall into place.
: I guess what I'm saying is that I am
: very interested in what you
: mentioned, that:
: "You are gradually shifting back
: to doing the food, not rushing,
: trusting it will straighten itself
: out. That your body knows what it
: needs and things will be back on
: track soon."
: I would love to hear how that looks,
: if you are open to sharing. You
: sound very calm and grounded and
: steady.
: Since I sort of feel I was on
: "track";
: and then fell apart,
: now I am keen to get on track
: 'properly'! :)
: As I slowly follow the steps I hope
: to eventually get rid of the
: sugar..... when I get to that
: step.
