: Hi Dena, there is hope, for sure, and the weird stuff that happens around our sugar sensitivity is part of the brain/body adjustment. If I'd tried to get off sugar in a matter of weeks, before doing the steps, I would have freaked out. In step one it's just breakfast and protein. No more, no less. If you read Potaoes Not Prozac, it tells about the slow process of recovery. It's not a quick fix program, but it is working for me. I started in January of this year and am steady in many ways. I still struggle sometimes but am looking to other's experiences as a guide, plus what Kathleen has written and her suggestions. Go easy, be kind to yourself and keep it simple. It gets better!
