I sometimes struggle with the evening potato. First of all, has anybody noticed a difference in how they feel on the nights they do or don't eat the potato?
I struggle with the potato before bed sometimes. A lot of time I want to have like a 'dessert' an hour or so after dinner. I work from 6-8:30 (at a computer) and I tend to want that sweet an hour into it. is anybody else missing your dessert? Even if it's just a pc of fruit? And if we decide to have the "dessert," should we eat it with protein like is suggested with an afternoon snack? or should it be without protein so that the carbs can get the proteins to do their work? or should we just eat an apple instead of the potato? And then if I do have a pc of fruit say an hour after dinner, should I just use that instead? Why does it have to be three hours later? What is the science behind that? I don't seem to be able to find any of the in the book, which I've ready a couple of times, so just wondering if any of you have any opinions on the matter. I'm confused. And sometimes I don't want the potato. I'm too tired or just done... Anyone else? Any ideas or suggestions would be great!!
