Re: can we talk about the potato?

hi Heather
yes, same for me ! I arrived and everyone kept just going on about breakfast, when I had ticked all the boxes on all but step 4. I think it was the best thing they ever did because when I revisited the steps ( not losing a bit of previous experience!) I did discover more things :h4) That revisit of mine was not only a fine tuning discovery but time to let the experience sort of rewire pathways in my brain I think

I remember Kathleen giving me a mighty big nudge about protein. She said, "the guidelines are there for a reason" I'm grateful now because I got more living it experience

Im really quite tiny now, but even so, I run better on more protein. I was slightly out wthout realising it and it did make a difference. Two eggs, sausage would have me a bit low so Im glad you were looking at protein amounts... is it enough for you? The thing that really got me though was the timing within the four parts. And even now with step seven for years, I still run through my checks to make sure I haven't slipped off a bit. I think your journal - love is going to be such a great talent for you Im so delighted to meet another journal lover

have you got potatoes not Prozac? have a re read if you like because its reassuring there: potato, 3 hours post dinner is best. It made no difference to me whatsoever until I had a different focus on my steps. Then it switched my willpower buttons off and I didn't need that any more. I suspect it was more of a building upon step 1 - 3 for me though as I am not much of a serotonin one, my balance is far more blood sugar and beta endorphin For fruit and suchlike, have a re read of step three, see what you think
