: Hi everyone
: I went to a party on Friday evening.
: I thought we were having dinner,
: but it was a buffet of white carbs
: and very little protein. I felt a
: bit panicky as I was hungry. I
: know now that I need to keep a
: protein& brown snack in my
: bag. I had a quick moan to a
: couple of others about it, they
: looked at me like I was mad :( but
: I know what I eat is a big deal
: for me.
: I’m on step 3, trying to get steady.
: Sometimes I crave a hot choc. I
: make it with 100% cocao powder. I
: know my body doesn’t like it, it
: makes my BS levels swing and I
: feel rubbish afterwards but
: sometimes I still drink it, like
: right now I just wondered if
: anyone has any tips to help me get
: away from this unhelpful addictive
: behaviour. Thank you
: Fiona
Hi Fiona,
Addiction means you keep doing it even though it is not good for you.
*tips* about what to do don't stop addiction. What changes it is not doing it.
And doing the food gets you chemically stable so you can follow through with your
intention. I can give you tips about the hot chocolate
Don't buy it....that means if you want it, you have to go out and get some and the time
in between might be enough to decide it isn't really worth it.
Tips for the other stuff....
If you are invited to something, find out what it means before you go and PLAN
what you will do to protect your program.
These are skills. You get better the more you do them.
