Hi Folks- I am on step 4. I have been eating 3 meals a day without snacking, taking vitamins daily, and eating the recommended amount of protein. I am keeping my food diary. I have had some good days and some really bad days. It seems like as I become more conscious of what I am eating and eating more protein, I feel better. It is a nightmare if I do not eat enough, and then I get lightheaded, can't think, and get extremely hungry, with pain in the pit of my stomach. Other times I just get in a really bad mood, and feel awful. I have been having occasional sweets still, but it is time for me to go the next step, into step 5, and begin replacing white with brown foods. I actually eat a lot of brown foods already, but it is hard for me to control myself when I am around ice cream, and some other sweets. I am scared to go to step 5 and am looking for support from anyone out there who can help. I also have a question: After eating some not so good foods, do any of you experience feeling crummy the next day? I am wondering if there is sometimes a delay in the response to a not-so-good food choice. Thanks for any input.
