Re: nervous about travel

Mosaic,

I LOVED your country (although the driving was quite stressful even as a passenger/navigator). And yes, we had AWESOME weather! I couldn't believe it....never pulled out my umbrella once and I think I only used the heavier jacket twice.

: Its great you noted breakfast a bit
: shaky. That's really good to know,
: so you can breakfast all round
: Ireland ( which should be really
: accessible) and know you did ok
: :h12)

: Good breakfast, eat as regularly as
: you can - and go and enjoy those
: sights ! (we are having good
: weather over here, Im saying it
: quietly :h6) ) you will have a
: great time :h4)

I was impressed (even though it got a bit boring) that every morning I could have the "full Irish breakfast". LOTS of protein although I have to say....I wasn't fond of the blood pudding but there were enough other meats to make sure I had sufficient protein.

: Anxious used to be a focus of mine, I
: hope steps help you as much as it
: did me. step one and three
: lynchpins for me.

Thanks for sharing that anxiety used to be an issue and that you found relief especially with Step 1 and Step 3. I can see they would by linchpins. It helps to know that others have experienced the anxiety and found relief.

: I have a mantra for travelling, its
: 'good enough is good enough' And
: it always is for me ! The other
: piece of advice that was handed to
: me that I love is, just do the
: step you are on

Your mantra was perfect.....I had taken a bag with various protein type snacks and realized that it was "good enough" at times.

: as for the SSRI I have no knowledge,
: but have heard it said many a time
: - and it makes sense to me - to
: leave that till you have a steady
: step seven. From my own
: experiences I know tackling things
: in seven is a very different thing
: than trying to power through
: earlier. Its just kinder to us.
: Perhaps for your reassurance you
: could do a mini consult with
: Kathleen when you get back from
: your holidays

Thanks also for sharing the piece of advice about tackling the SSRI issue. I may have been out of place on this and may figure out how to consult with Kathleen. I also may just stabilize with where I am currently on the amount I cut down and leave it until I'm further along before I reduce any more. Didn't think that might be part of my problems right now. I recently saw a GYN doctor about "the change" and she admitted that my working off an SSRI was "muddying the waters" as far as whether or not some of what I am experiencing is hormonal. I guess from what I see in Kathleen's books is that we sugar-sensitive people are often "all-or nothing" or "right now" people. I'm no different, I guess.
