I hope I can reassure you a little. First of all you have your steps which is the Best thing of all for a good post op recovery I reckon
Some years ago, I had a few months of very strong painkillers that were a concern to me. Kathleen helped me with that and I think that I was far better off taking the analgesia than trying to power through the pain. It was actually better for me BE wise to take that help
After surgery, I had several doses of morphine and then eased back onto the original analgesia. That went so easily. I was thinking, food helping me heal. Tapering off the analgesia altogether was easy, honestly. Again Kathleen gave me good advice. And the relief of pain free successful surgery ! Wonderful !
