Used to Alissa, I think I was very sensitive to the curve of blood sugar. When I read that in Your Last Diet it made such sense to me .
as a lifelong dieter, I was also used to will power ruling me. So I was actively directing my energy into avoiding snacks. It was a real leap of faith to add snacks in as part of my step three...………… I know the aim is to not snack in three! But it was a steadying thing for me to do at that time...…….. it got me ready for giving them up not through willpower but by steadying
I kept an afternoon planned snack in for years because that's the way my schedule fitted. I had a longer gap to the evening meal so it worked well
Nowadays I don't snack at all as I don't need to. But I always keep a snack in my handbag and the car like a security blanket Its been fun for me looking at each of my steps and how the whole added up to a steadying healing thing. I think my most challenging were one and three, and five probably most informative, but its always been the challenging that have helped me best
how are you getting along with your step ? which one is your focus right now?
