Glad to hear that you worked out the Chinese food challenge. I have no doubt that the low feelings were from the cake and white bread, if you ate a lot more of them than you usually do. On step 3, one of the things we work on is steady - steady sugar to avoid those big highs and lows.

I remember the day that I realized that sugar was associated with my depression. I was doing the Zone diet and hadn't had sugar in three weeks. Then I went to a party at a friend's house and ate the things I normally ate at parties. Cake, cookies, champagne etc. A few hours later I had a headache, was really tired and cranky, and spent the evening yelling at my pets. Then I was hung over the next day and then came the horrible moods and depression.

These are all great learning experiences.
