That is great, Fiona -- good for you for putting your desires and your new knowledge into action -- and especially good for you about connecting the dots between what you ate on Sunday and how you felt on Wednesday! It's taken me forever to start to make those connections -- partly because by Wed I would have no memory of what I had eaten on Sunday (hello, journal) and partly because there's apparently this big ol' gap in my brain ... it's only very recently (like -- this week) that I've been able to take the knowledge that I'm stressed and the knowledge that I want chocolate and connect them into one sentence. (And of course I also know from what I've learned here that I am stressed partly *because* I'm eating chocolate, and/or not enough protein at breakfast, etc etc -- but the "I want x" has always just been something that swooped in and took over and disconnected me from everything else -- there was never a "why" there at all -- I didn't even *care* why.)
So I am so impressed that you saw this! Good on ya!
Pam
