Re: Week Two, Unexpected Benefits of Steps

Hi Bethy
I lived in the Boston area when I started the program, so your name made me smile. Boston is still one of my favorite places. (I live in the southwest now.)

It looks like you are making some good discoveries as you start the program.
Tackling the first three steps in your first 2 weeks is kind of a lot. The changes are easier to sustain if you make changes in smaller bits. Usually we recommend just working on breakfast at first. Of course you don't have to stop doing the other things, but it would be a good idea to really concentrate on breakfast right now. Are you getting enough protein? Have you found a good complex carb to eat? Are you eating breakfast within an hour of getting up? Are you doing this consistently every day? What will you do if you have to go to work early? There's a lot to think about.

I find that breakfast can make or break my day, so it's something I pay close attention to. I like to have protein shake, and I assemble most of it the night before, so in the morning all I have to do is add the protein powder and oats, and then blend it up. (I put a lot of things in my protein shake)

Keep in touch and let us know how it's going.
