Re: Depths of Despair
In Response To: Re: Depths of Despair ()

Hi mosaic
I always find your posts really useful :h6)
In this one you say that there are things that you never eat now. Is that white things and sugar? And do you find it ok/manageable to never eat them? I so want to get to that point!
Thanks
Fiona :h4)

: hi BettyJane, so glad you posted and
: hope you find PnP enlightening,
: and a comfort

: its so good to feel understood

: I used to think about food constantly
: - always some diet or other, and
: felt absolutely ruled by it. All
: else secondary and if I didn't
: have anything to worry about, I
: would latch onto something - say a
: wedding six months in the future -
: and worry about that. I lived in
: black t shirt and leggings because
: I couldn't find anything else to
: fit, and ate things I didn't like
: because of the promise, and denied
: myself the things I did like
: because of the danger of them

: what I found out was that balancing
: my brain chemicals was
: transformational. It wasn't that I
: was weak willed. Quite the
: contrary. Not some character flaw,
: and nothing set in stone. All to
: be rebalanced.

: Im just pondering - that extreme food
: focus can be an advantage, when
: turned around. All that skill ! to
: be able to focus that energy onto
: steps instead, what a powerful
: thing :h11)

: Nowadays I have such delight in
: cooking ( I had lost all that joy)
: I love to eat out and its a real
: pleasure, instead of something
: that might derail me for months.
: Every day I choose foods that I
: just love, and I focus on the
: freedom of it all. Yes there are
: things I do not choose, ever :h6)
: but that takes the dilemma out of
: everything, its so peaceful.

: you made me think, choosing an old
: breakfast of mine, which would
: have been oats cooked in water,
: which gave me heartburn and made
: me anxious , versus a good old
: English fry - up breakfast so
: tasty and enjoyable and
: satisfying. Yet I stuck with those
: old oats for years and years :h6)
: just kept going back for more of
: the same :s8( Its so nice to live
: and feel the difference

: keep in touch with us , I know the
: connection really helps and the
: community has been so helpful to
: me...… let us know your breakfast
: news, and how you are liking it.
: Did you choose something nice
: today?
