Re: Light bulb moment
In Response To: Light bulb moment ()

Great observation!
My close friends all learned that it was important to stop and make sure I got food, or I would be really cranky. Of course now that I do the program, I am the one that says "I need to eat."

: I am about 2.5 weeks into step one
: and I believe I have begun to
: notice how the chemistry of our
: eating habits affects mood.

: Something clicked yesterday when I
: was preparing a quick dinner for
: myself. I had gone a little too
: long without eating and was very
: hungry, so I had a goal of just
: getting dinner on the table as
: quickly as possible.

: My daughter came into the kitchen
: with her computer and her college
: applications with lots of
: questions and I found myself
: getting very irritated at her for
: asking these questions and
: disrupting my time of preparing to
: eat dinner.

: I could understand a small irritation
: in this circumstance, but my blood
: was boiling and the reaction did
: not fit the situation. So I asked
: myself "why am I so upset
: that my beautiful daughter is
: asking for help?". After all,
: soon she will be gone to college
: and I will be wishing for these
: times back.

: The light bulb came on when I
: realized this had little to do
: with the circumstances, but was
: due to low blood sugar. It is
: starting to make so much sense.
