And yet another way things have changed

A year ago, when I had my yearly woman's checkup, the doctor's office scheduled my next one. It was supposed to be on Monday. When I arrived at the doctor's office, they told me I did not have an appointment. Apparently, whoever was working the desk the day I made it had made out an appointment card for me but never put the appointment into the computer.

The young woman at the desk apologized multiple times and made me another appointment. I wasn't happy about the mix up, but it wasn't her fault (she wasn't even working there at the time) so I was nice about it. The doctor's office isn't that far from my office, and I was using my lunch hour for part of the appointment so I didn't end up having to use any sick time. (I did make sure to eat my lunch at my desk earlier. No skipping lunch for me!

. I will speak to the doctor about it when I see her. (She owns the practice.) So before the program, I probably wouldn't have yelled at anyone, but I would have been way more upset and resentful that my time had been wasted. When I got home and told my husband about it, he told me he hoped that I had raised a big fuss about it. I was thinking, why bother? It just would have stressed out the person at the desk, and gotten me all riled up, and it wouldn't have changed anything. I don't want to get all riled up. Speaking to the doctor about it when I see her will probably accomplish more than getting all upset at the person at the desk anyway.
