I am very sensitive to loud noises (unless it’s music that I like that I wanted to listen to at a higher volume, but really loud television jangles my nerves), certain odors, any solvents like varnish, whiteboard markers, and fabrics that are not soft. I always feel fabric before trying clothes on at the store, because if the fabric does not feel good to me, there is no point in even trying it on. My sensitivity to odors and chemicals has not changed, but I cope with other things better after doing the food. I remember going to a Dave Matthews band concert back in the late 90’s or early 2000’s (can’t remember exactly when because I have seen them in concert so many times). It was a hot night, it was an outdoor concert, and between the opening act and the band, I needed to use the ladies room. Everyone else was trying to get various places as well, and it was wall to wall people, pressing from all sides. Before the program, I would have totally freaked out, but I stayed calm. So I do think that doing the food reduces some types of sensitivity, especially sensitivity to things that are over stimulating.

: Hi everyone
: I’ve been reading about HSPs (highly
: sensitive people). I now know that
: I am SS (sugar sensitive) after
: finding PnP and so much is now
: making sense. I also think/know
: that I am an HSP. I just wondered
: if anyone else has found that they
: are highly sensitive and if there
: is often a link between the two?
: Thanks
