Re: Breakfast

: Hello everyone! I’m brand new to the
: forum and so grateful for the
: support.

: I read potatoes not Prozac a few
: weeks ago and it definitely
: resonated with me.

: At first I wanted to do everything
: and add the potato but now I’m
: realizing (after reading a bunch
: of your messages on the forum)
: that I just need to focus on step
: 1.

: I’ve never been a breakfast eater so
: it has been a challenge. I am
: getting better though. Now at
: least I’m eating breakfast with
: protein. And this last week I’ve
: gotten it pretty close to an hour
: within waking.

: However, I think I need more protein
: and help with adding a brown.

: I do like bone broth a lot and make
: it at home and find it super easy
: to drink in the mornings. When I
: add my collagen protein, it is
: about 18 grams protein. Then I’ve
: been having a little smoked salmon
: on sourdough toast but I’m already
: getting a little l tired of it.

: My protein goal is 25 grams. I
: currently weigh about 175 but
: would like to be 150. Is my
: protein goal to low?

: What are some breakfast ideas I can
: try? Unfortunately I am allergic
: to eggs! Also, I’d prefer not to
: eat pork everyday.

: Thank you so much in advance for your
: help! I am so grateful to have
: found the book and now this in
: incredible community of support!

Hi Michelle, welcome!

I'm a fan of having a breakfast shake in the mornings because it's so quick, easy, and delicious. I add mixed berries, nut butter, rolled oats (for my brown), protein powder and almond milk. There are lots of shake ideas, what sort of flavors do you enjoy?
