Changing habits

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to share a victory I had today. It was grocery shopping day, so I made my meal plan (I've been doing this for budget, not necessarily for RR, but it will transition nicely for step 3 : ), and headed off to the store.

When I got to the parking lot, I realized it was lunch time and I had left the house without eating lunch, so I was very hungry. In the past, I frequently went grocery shopping on an empty stomach. But not today.

Even though I was eager to get the shopping done, I stopped at a nearby convenience store and bought a salad with chicken breast, egg, blue cheese (lots of protein) and ate it prior to shopping.

When I did finally shop, I was able to make better choices and enjoy the experience a lot more than when I'm hungry.

These little victories are what help keep me going, and I can't believe how much my habits have changed over the past month and a half
