I'll skip the olives, but marinated mushrooms or artichoke hearts - yum.
As for sweets, there is a restaurant here that has a glass case full of all sorts of fancy cakes and pies that you stand in front of when placing your order, and like you, I appreciate how pretty they look, but have no desire to eat any of them. In fact, I have always been grateful that I was already not eating sugar when I first went to that restaurant, because I surely would have had a short circuit trying to decide which dessert to eat. But now I can look at them without any temptation.

: and thank you too Cherri, as your
: post just reinforces it for me !
: I think today we are going to M&S ….
: a shop that has an amazing food
: hall. I am going in to treat
: myself to something. I don't know
: what yet because it needs a good
: mooch around...…. funny thing is,
: I can look at all the unsuitable
: for me stuff - and admire the
: colours or artistry or
: presentation , but they aren't
: interesting as foodstuffs
: but it is a delight wandering round
: the things like chicken tikka, or
: a special ham or chorizo, the
: olives that I love or maybe some
: red peppers, or some indulgent
: salad bag that I wouldn't normally
: buy.
: Im so glad you will get all that fun
: and delight too
