I've been working with a functional medicine doctor that specializes in nutrition. I have problems with leaky gut and have been tested for and have many food sensitivities. The sensitivities I struggle with the most are the "browns". I cannot eat corn, millet, oats, rice, beans, wheat, gluten .... Most recently added to this list is white potatoes or anything my body perceives as "gluten" such as quinoa. I'm afraid buckwheat will have this same affect on me but I will try it and have it tested.
Right now sweet potatoes are the only thing that seems to work okay for me but 4 times a day of sweet potatoes is a bit much. Any help you could give would be great. I'm feeling very desperate!!!!! Diana Mae
: Hi Diana,
: We took down the step 5 list because
: people were so skilled at
: mastering the step, they
: felt they really didn't need it.
: Many of us eat Bob's red mill cream
: of buckwheat cereal. You just cook
: it like oatmeal and eat it
: like porridge.
: If you can say a little more on what
: protocol you are using that is
: determining which carbohydrates
: you can use, I can give you some
: guidance on direction.
: Warmly,
: Kathleen
