hi Diana Mae
good luck with trying the buckwheat it may be fine as I believe is in rhubarb family ? so not related a grain at all
I hope I can give you some encouragement with this dilemma , in that I have found journal to be the most incredible help. Sorted out all my food things and is so, so reliable
I have learned to listen to my journal, and not so much anyone elses ideas or agenda. Always proved to be the right thing. It wasn't overnight - took me a lot of decoding of my body signals and language, but I got there
for instance, I was informed by doctors that eggs, cheese/dairy and coconut oil were a very bad thing for me personally.. I took them all out for four months ( hard work really, specially as it included a week in a hotel with the most magnificent cheeseboard ) well my journal said I was a bit dissatisfied by things, a bit tired, weary and everything got worse, much worse …….
so after four months, and a lecture about being compliant with their advice, I took no notice and put them all back in. Everything improved dramatically and stayed
so to this day
this story isn't meant to say, be a rebel but just how my journal is right about me, and I hope proves as useful for you
if you do try the buckwheat the pancakes are nice and easy. let us know how you do
