*hearing Sandhill Cranes calling from the river last night

I don't know what we will be cooking for Thanksgiving. We haven't decided yet. We usually go to a wildlife sanctuary for the day, and there are only two of us. But I will probably be making sweet potato pie. I make it every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. My friend Sheila was the one who developed the recipe that I use.

We may do a turkey breast. Actually, I really like dark meat, so if I can find turkey thighs, I might roast them with some onions, potatoes and carrots.
