I'm laughing so hard here. The other day we were at a buffet restaurant, which generally I find quite easy to deal with. especially if they have got a grill section where you can choose fish and meat. That's the bit I gravitate towards
and I was able to choose a wonderful salad by looking at every " station" and mixing and matching. Combining all, I found roasted red pepper, lambs lettuce, assorted leaves. cucumber, olives, feta cheese and walnuts. quite divine
the funny bit was DH finding some smoked salmon that he LOVED the flavour of, but said it was a weird texture, all crunchy.
well I knew instantly what it was, but he wouldn't be persuaded. So I ate a teaspoon to prove my point. LOVED it so much I knew it was a mistake...….. pickled ginger, off the sushi counter DH thinks he doesn't like ginger
it didn't taste that sweet but every bit of me thought well, I would like to eat that every night and as much as possible that I can get my hands on its so funny how it attracts us so
Luckily I learnt...…………. that one teaspoon was more than enough, I don't really have to score points being right on a foodie issue, its not worth it, and DH tastebuds are weird.
