I like to do turkey for Christmas when our family comes home. But I don't like the cleanup to take my attention away from the family. So a few years ago I decided to approach it differently. I cooked, sliced and froze the turkey ahead of time. Then on the day of the feast I put enough for the meal into the slow cooker with some of the drippings for a couple of hours. I made stuffing and put it in another slow cooker with more of the turkey drippings. The drippings made everything moist and tasty.

Oh, and I also made the soup stock on the day I cooked and carved the turkey, so all the work was done!
