I have been busy knitting. I love watching the scarves take shape (I only do simple things that don't require keeping track of a lot of things) and I can do it while I watch TV or relax in the evening. Plus I love picking out yarn - so many lovely colors and textures.
Something I do every year is to buy Swedish Christmas soap. I discovered it by accident one year when I lived in Rhode Island and Whole foods had it. Unfortunately, the next year Whole Foods didn't have it, but eventually I found it on line. It is really nice soap that smells heavenly - like spices and oranges and everything good. I just put this year's bar in the shower and I used it today. Yum!
There are several types, but I get the one that has Santa outside a window with children looking out on the box. There are two bars in the box. There's another type that is supposed to smell like gingerbread, but I've never tried that one.
This is one of the traditions I've made for self care during this busy time of year.
