I assemble most of my protein shake the night before. I just add the protein powder and oats in the morning. I put fresh greens in my shake. I guess last night I got a little carried away, because when I tried to blend it this morning, the greens stayed in a clump at the top and wouldn't blend in. So I grabbed a wooden spoon and started poking them down into the liquid. Unfortunately, I poked down too far, there was a horrible noise, and my spoon came out of the mix with a ragged hole in it. I knew there had to be some spiky pieces of wood in the shake, so I dumped it out and started over.

I really liked that wooden spoon. But what would have been a crisis years ago before the program is now just one of those things that happens sometimes. It's even kind of amusing. Also a good reminder not to mess with blenders!
