New year's resolutions

Hi All,

I realized that I'm really grateful that I no longer do diet or weight resolutions for New Year's. I'm really happy with this program and my size and fitness. No drama, no sense of lack or failure. Thank you Kathleen and all of you! Eating and exercising is joy to me.

I've made a resolution to meditate 10 minutes a day 4-5 times a week. All I have to do is sit and put my consciousness into the "watcher" rather than into my thoughts. I've been doing this at the end of my almost daily yoga practice, but I don't do it consistently.

When I got to step 7, I began aligning myself with "the watcher" when I noticed there had been a mean low BE voice in my head that no longer appeared. It wasn't "me". The watcher presence is like the calm Kathleen writes about. There's always a deep, calm, gentle presence inside of me that I can now access more readily on step 7. So now I want to have this regularly, daily, even as all the business of the day and my thoughts happen. This desire has organically come from years of this program and now from yoga too.

Happy New Year everyone!

JoEllen
